Fred Aminzadeh and Paul de Groot’s book “Neural Networks and Other Soft Computing Techniques with applications in the oil industry” is now available from the EAGE bookshop. The book aims to give an in-depth, yet easy to read, introduction into Soft Computing and the main techniques employed by geo-scientists. A CD and DVD with OpendTect + plugins and a 3D seismic data set + wells respectively are included for hands-on experimentation with neural networks.
