 | Brochures | | | Software and Services An overview of who we are and what we do. The brochure describes a/o OpendTect, GDI, qualitative and quantitative seismic interpretation services, R&D, Software training possibilities and help desk facility. Download PDF | | 3D Sequence Stratigraphy Introduction to the OpendTect SSIS plugin. The Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation System allows seismic data to be studied in the chronostratigraphic domain. Numerous chronostratigraphic events are auto-tracked per sequence bounded by mapped horizons. Seismic data and (meta-) attribute volumes are then flattened in 3D whereby erosional gaps and non-depositional hiatuses are honored. The Wheeler-transformed (flattened) data provides new insights in the spatial distribution and timing of sedimentary deposits and allows data to be visualized in a completely new way. Download PDF | | | OpendTect Introduction to OpendTect, the open source seismic interpretation environment for processing, visualizing and interpreting multi-volume seismic data. Since source code is provided OpendTect is both a functional seismic interpretation system as well as a development platform for innovative interpretation tools via an easy plugin architecture. The brochure also describes the commercial plugins: dip-steering, neural networks and workstation access. Download PDF | | | Quantitative Seismic Interpretations Understanding geology is the key to drilling successful wells. This means one needs to gain understanding in the 3D distribution of lithologies, rock properties and fluid fill in the subsurface. Predicting these distributions from 3D seismic data with control points at well locations is the current industry standard. At dGB we take reservoir prediction a step further by looking beyond the numbers and use geological models to improve our prediction. Also by using neural networks we avoid using oversimplified linear models that can not accurately describe most rock property relations Download PDF | | | Seismic Filtering & Object Detection dGB utilizes a combination of seismic filters and detection techniques to extract geological objects from seismic data. This highly flexible and adaptive approach enables the interpreter to progress from an observed seismic feature to a full geological interpretation, solving a specific geological problem. Download PDF | | | Fluid Migration & Fault Sealing As an extended service to processing object cubes such as seismic chimney- and fault cubes, dGB offers interpretation services aimed at detecting fluid migration paths and fault seal analysis. Such interpretations provide a good insight into the petroleum system of the basin, focussed on charge, locating entry points, leak points and assessing seal quality. Download PDF | | | Sponsoring opportunities To ensure OpendTect grows in a controlled, user-driven direction and to keep the system maintainable in future, dGB adopted a development strategy around sponsored projects. For several projects sponsoring of sub-projects is possible, which enables sponsors to set priorities and match available funds with user priorities. Download PDF |
