First of all, you may want to consult the FlexLM user's manual (PDF format, 800 kb). The most common source of errors is caused by trying to start the dGB-GDI license manager with the wrong FlexLM version 'lmgrd' executable. The license manager should be started using the executables in the [dgb-gdi-dir]/bin/sun5/lm directory (substitute lux for sun5 if you are using Linux). In the [dgb-gdi-dir] a script is present that can be used to start the license manager daemon: 'license.gdi'.
