dGB was present at the SEG Annual meeting 2006, New Orleans, 1-6 October 2006. We promoted SSIS (Sequence Stratigraphic interpretation System). This OpendTect plugin allows seismic data to be flattened (Wheeler transformed) in chrono-stratigraphic time, and allows subsequent system tract analysis. You can find us in booth 1434.
Also dGB people hosted a number of talks: Visualizing Gas Chimney Volumes Reduces Exploration Risk: A Case Study from Onshore Louisiana. J.Klutts, D.L. Connolly, F. Aminzadeh, F.Brouwer OpendTect SSIS: Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation System. Paul de Groot How to create and use 3D Wheeler-transformed seismic volumes. Paul de Groot, Geert de Bruin, and Nanne Hemstra Integrating neural networks and fuzzy logic for improved reservoir property prediction and prospect ranking. Fred Aminzadeh* and Friso Brouwer
EAGE Research Workshop 2006
From Seismic Interpretation to Stratigraphic and Basin Modelling - Present and Future. Grenoble, France 25 - 27 September 2006
Geert de Bruin was present at this workshop that focussed on integration of different disciplines, ranging from seismic sequence stratigraphy to stratigraphic modelling and basin modelling. Improving the communication and the exchange of results generated by these different methods will enable us to achieve an overall better understanding of the geological setting in basins.
EAGE Vienna 2006
dGB was present at the EAGE Conference & Exhibition in Vienna, Austria, 12-15 June 2006. We previewed SSIS (Sequence Stratigraphic interpretation System). This OpendTect plugin allows seismic data to be flattened (Wheeler transformed) in chrono-stratigraphic time, and allows subsequent system tract analysis. You can find us in booth 913.
Oral presentation: Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation in the Wheeler Transformed (Flattened) Seismic Domain H.J. Ligtenberg* (dGB Earth Sciences), G. de Bruin (dGB Earth Sciences), N. Hemstra (dGB Earth Sciences) & C. Geel (TNO)
