When I start-up OpendTect, it asks for FLEXlm license. Where I can find this file or license?
This is just a warning message. OpendTect will work - only the licensed plugins won't load.
There are two possibilities:
1) You want to make use of the licensed plugins (Dip-steering, Neural networks, SSIS, Workstation acces). Please contact us at
This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
for a license. To evaluate the plugins one can request a demo license. Universities can sign a R&D license agreement, to get free access to the commercial OpendTect plugins and GDI.
2) If you are not interested in those plugins, just click away the warnings and use OpendTect without the extra plugins. If you also want to get rid of the warnings, the easiest way is to remove every .alo file (not directories!) in (Windows) \Program Files\OpendTect\plugins\win except odmain.base.alo (keep that file!) or /opendtect-2.2/plugins/lux32 (or lux64,sol32,mac,sgi) except odmain.base.alo (keep that file!)
