OpendTect is a complete Open Source seismic interpretation system allowing visualization and interpretation of multi-volume seismic data using attributes and modern visualization techniques. OpendTect has connections to other Open Source packages such as Madagascar (process seismic data and visualize in OpendTect) and GMT (create scaled maps of OpendTect results). For additional functionalities commercial plugins are available.
OpendTect SSIS plugin is a Sequence Stratigraphic Interpretation System that allows seismic data to be studied in the chronostratigraphic (Wheeler transformed) domain.
The dip-steering plugin allows you to create and use "steering cubes". A steering cube contains at every sample position the local dip and azimuth of the seismic events.
Seismic Spectral Blueing optimizes the vertical resolution of seismic data by shaping the seismic spectrum without boosting noise to unacceptable levels.
Allows you to grab a 3D scene in OpendTect and to save it in pdf format. The pdf file can then be shared with colleagues, managers and partnerswho can open it in the free Adobe Reader, or embeded in a Powerpoint presentation.
